Our mission is to serve our community and people with disabilities as we live and work together.

Lifeworks is a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities live fuller lives that are integrated into the flow of community experience. Serving over 1,500 clients through employment at area businesses, social enrichment opportunities and customized support services; Lifeworks provides the tools clients need to build the lives they want to live. For more than 40 years, we have collaborated with employers, volunteers, and government agencies to create expanded opportunities for people with disabilities.

We provide services based on the five valued experiences: 
-Sharing ordinary places and being part of the community
-Growing in relationships and developing and maintaining important relationships
-Making choices, small, day to day choices as well as large, life defining ones
-Contributing and giving back and playing a meaningful role
-Being respected and gaining respect from others

Client Services Volunteer

Volunteer Description: We encourage volunteers to share themselves and their interests with our clients; provide one to one or small group support to people in employment, recreation, social outings, our art studio, with games, reading or other educational pursuits and planning for their futures. We strive to make each volunteer's experience unique and meaningful for them.

Great for 55+ and Groups

Volunteers Needed: We are always looking for quality volunteers in many areas.

Minimum Age Requirement: 18

Lifeworks hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. We have no time requirements for our volunteer positions.

Required Skills: Open minded, caring personality, willingness to interact with differing abilities. We can work with you to find your niche at Lifeworks.
