Volunteer Opportunities

Becoming a member of CLOVE is a great way to meet your counterparts in the many volunteer organizations in the area. Networking is a great asset and a great way to learn and share knowledge. Members enjoy a chance to meet with other group leaders on a personal level and create lasting relationships which benefit all involved.

Organization: Opportunities:
Harry Meyering Center, Inc. Serve people with disabilities through leisure and recreational activities such as craft club, game night and card making.
Lifeworks Serve people with disabilities through visual arts, music, dance, photography, art appreciation, lead book club, crafts.
Habitat for Humanity Of South Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity of South Central MN is a non-profit Christian housing ministry dedicated to building simple, decent and affordable housing for low income people in our communities. Serve though building/construction, committee chairs, cashiers, stocking shelves, pricing items, processing new donations and picking up merchandise.

Serve in organizations that range from schools, hospitals, youth recreational centers, to local police stations.
Friends of the Deep Valley Libraries Serve through pages past bookstore, annual Book sales, sorting books, library activities, fundraising/publicity/advocacy committee, project bookshelf.
Immanuel St. Joseph’s-Mayo Health System Serve through gift shop, information desk host/ess, STEP Force, flower delivery, music and art cart, hospice, junior volunteers (16-17 yrs.), office and mail projects, intensive care lounge hosts.
Mankato Family YMCA Serve through coaches for youth sports, youth group leaders, Brother/Sister Program - male mentors especially needed, special events: Healthy Kids Day, Frigid Fun Run, Family Nights, Teen Nights
ARC of Minnesota Southwest Serve people with developmental disabilities through office assistance, transportation for people with disabilities, events and fundraisers
SMILES Center for Independent Living Serve people with disabilities through recreation, fishing events, miracle league baseball, adaptive adaptive ski program, peer mentoring, ramp building, board/committee members, fundraising, and speakers bureau.
Merely Players Theatre Serve in a community theatre through set design, construction, decorating, lighting, sound, special effects, costuming, make-up and hair, choreography, music, ticket Sales,  publicity, and more.
Betsy Tacy Society Serve as a tour guide, gift shop staff, catalog packaging, office projects, house and yard maintenance, and other special projects. 
YWCA " Serve as a coach/mentor in our self-esteem enhancing programs for girls in 3rd-8th grade, Girls on the Run and Girls on Track! Our 12 week seasons work to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Help us support and empower young lives…one girl at a time!

ECHO ECHO welcomes all forms of donations: money, food or even your spare time. Each form of donation helps ECHO provide food to people in our community. Money is extremely beneficial to ECHO by allowing us to be flexible with purchasing items at reduced costs and meeting the need when food donations are low.

Community Engagement Office (CEO)

Minnesota State University, Mankato
The mission of the Community Engagement Office is to create service programs and volunteer opportunities in collaboration with the Greater Mankato area, which enhance student development and enrich the lives of community citizens. The vision of the Community Engagement Office is to instill a passion to make a difference by becoming involved in community engagement 
Pathstone Living At Pathstone there are many opportunities for volunteers. Assisting with Religious Services, front desk volunteers, piano players, one to one visits, walking with residents, assist with group activities. You can also become an Auxiliary member and help with various fund-raising events. 
Partners for Affordable Housing: Theresa House and Welcome Inn

Theresa House
Partners for Affordable Housing provides shelter for homeless families and individuals and helps them to secure economically viable long-term housing 

Serve emergency and short-term transitional housing assistance to families and single women through  cleaning, crafts, driving, companionship, youth recreation and study.
